      One of our go to patterns time and again. I have to hide some in my tackle box because they just seem to disappear after kids and grandkids have been digging in my tackle box. Durable paint and sickle style hook makes for good hookups. I’ve been purchasing jigs for many decades. Big Sky can’t be beat.

      I first started using Big Sky Flies and jigs about 4 years. I bought one of there fully loaded cases. It was a huge eye opener. There glow jigs are one of my go to when going to the jig. I have many favourites but the Mean Machine jig in 6 different glow colours are my favourite. Priced at $1.50ea is a Way to fill your tackle box full. Don’t forget the many styles of lures they offer for the multi species fisherman / women in your life.

      We have really great results jigging with a smelt in the spring and summer for both walleye and jack. During late summer when the water was thick with algae the fish were still attracted to the lure and caught a 46 cm walleye.

      Mean machine glow jig

      Excellent all purpose jig for walleye. The glow seems to add as an attractant, and the hook seems to be indestructible. I like to pair this with a firetiger curly tail.
