Erie stand up jigs are very popular for presenting a dynamic presentation on the bottom of a body of water. Originally based on the Erie Rig Lure that first became popular on Lake Erie these quickly gained popularity across North America. Weighted to stand up, you can drop these right to the bottom. The upright display allows anglers to “river-hook” or “Canadian-style hooking” rig their bait on these jigs for a realistic presentation that makes the minnow appear as if its alive and feeding off of bottom. 1/8 oz and ¼ oz are most common size for walleye, but be sure to ask us about heavier weights available with upgraded hooks for river fishing.
